Hard to overstate how good the work that’s done by CPE…
Nice people top to bottom; friendly workers who actually listen and react to your concerns.Owning a 72-yo house ready for renovation, we sought 4 local estimates for either vinyl siding or masonite hardiplanks. With the costs being nearly identical, CPE’s included critical structural re-joisting. The carpentry and painting teams were respectful, quiet and prompt. There is something unique about this company’s approach.
Your search is over. For real..

Wonderful company! There was a slight misunderstanding with the crew about color selections and also a little difficulty understanding accents but, otherwise, the crew did a great job, showed up on time and put in full days’ work. The project manager stopped by to make sure things were going well and then again after completion to check it out. Rain caused a delay in starting but they can’t help that! Pricing was right in the middle of 5 quotes.

I cannot say enough to express my total satisfaction with my recent experience with The Carpentry & Painting Experts. Starting from the day Martin arrived at my home to discuss and provide me with an estimate to have some interior trim work installed and painted to the equally impressive professionalism and efficiency received from office manager Michelle to the excellent craftsmanship provided by the carpentry and painting teams. The total job was completed sooner than expected, all workers arrived on time and were very courteous. The end result was awesome and I would definitely use and recommend their very fair priced services again. Thanks to all.

Excellent service. Quick to respond to a call for an estimate and the estimate completed in less than 48 hours. The work was schedule quickly. All the materials were as asked for and the the quality or workmanship was also excellent. The was very good supervision and works completed their assignments on time and professionally, as expected. The estimate and final cost were very reasonable for the work done. That included drywall repair, painting, debris removal, putting down underlayment, new flooring, replacement baseboard and quarter round, and painting. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Needed a ceiling painted ASAP. They came in estimated and took a sample to match color and had the work done the next day. Great Service. This was the third time I have used them. Great Company.

The Carpentry and Painting Experts are excellent. They replaced a beam under the floor many years ago. I have had no further problems. Recently they put up dry wall and trim in the LR. It looks great. Also very smooth and easy to paint. In the future The Carpentry and Painting experts will be the only people I call.

Replaced porch steps. This is a follow up to a previous review. I rank customer service an A. I received a call from the manager and I was reimbursed some money… I appreciated the follow up and professionalism shown in making it a fair price. The job was well done and again they put the customer first…Well Done!

Martin was a very attentive Project Manager. The guys on the job did a beautiful job painting my entire house. They even helped me reach small corners on a wall I was painting myself that I could not reach! I felt that for the job to include paint, hole fixes, etc. was priced fair. I would use these painters for another job and highly recommend.

They were very prompt and well organized. Came and did the job right away on time and on budget exactly as described. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The project manager and team were both very professional, polite, punctual and demonstrated the necessary skill sets /knowledge to perform their work in a very satisfactory manner. Most importantly, the team met my project needs without issue and were very respectful of my house both inside and outside. I would definitely hire The Carpentry & Painting Experts again!Description of work:
Pipes burst in masterbath (which is over garage) and caused flooding in attic and the garage ceiling to fall. Resulted in the following repairs being required: insulation removed and installed in attic and garage ceiling, drywall installed in closet and garage ceiling and both areas were mudded. And, the entire closet was painted. In addition, I had a screen door installed while they were onsite. I purchased the door and the team picked it up for me, installed the door and hauled away the old door, without issue

They arrived as expected and were very professional. The painting and repairs look very good. They matched the colors (where the paint was only repaired/touched-up) very well. They forgot to replace the screw that held up a light in the half-bathroom, but they came by the next day to replace it (it had been inadvertently taken). This is the second time we’ve used the Carpentry & Painting Experts. We would recommend them and use them again.

The team came out promptly even though there was a bit of snow and freezing rain on the day of the service, and as soon as they got to the house, they got busy working down my list of tasks. They worked together as a team when the work was higher up off of the ground, and divided and conquered when the work could be done individually safely. Some of the work required the team to set up 16ft A-frame ladders and fix up a crack that ran 20 ft across the ceiling and roof line and to work on the joint between the wall and the ceiling that was too far over the edge of the loft for me to reach safely. They ended up getting it taped, mudded, and sanded throughout the course of the day and now you can’t tell there was ever a crack. They also cleaned up some shoddy taping and mudding (done by yours truly) and skimmed a bathroom wall. All of the work was very clean and the team paid attention to the details of the work and anything their work was going to impact (like fixing some spots on the walls about 3-4 feet away from the joints they were fixing that I had not initially seen or put on my to-do list.) They did some painting and some cutting in where there was no fresh joint compound, and all of the lines were very clean and straight. All in all, I am very happy with the work that this company has done for me and am very happy with the communication of the team lleads and the main office. Everything went very smoothly and they went the extra mile in everything they were doing for me to make sure I was happy with the work they were doing. I will definitely be using them again if I ever have more drywall work to do or if I have large painting projects, and I would recommend them to anyone in the Richmond area that needs help in getting their home projects completed.Description of work:
The team re-taped and mudded drywall seams along the ceiling and roofline of my Cape Cod home (18+ feet from ground floor), re-taped and mudded multiple ceiling joints in my kitchen, stairwell, and living room, fixed 8-12 drywall dents/dings/holes, skimmed a bathroom wall with drywall mud and sanded smooth, and cut in with paint in multiple rooms in my house to make for much easier painting after they left.

The first team, made up of Drew, cleaned gutters and power washed, painted ceiling and pre-treated the spot to make certain there was adequate coverage with the paint; a second team, led by Randy, spent a whole Saturday from early morning until dark to do the exterior painting. They were unable to finish and returned the following Monday to finish up. They provided top grade Sherwin Williams paint for the painting needs. David came out to replace some shingles that had loosened in a storm and caused the water leak in the den. As the painters were finishing up, they noted that there were oil stains from their truck on the aggregate driveway. They made 3 trips to try to remove the stains and would not invoice us until we were completely satisfied with their efforts. We were given a 15% discount from being on Angie’s List. Martin Borisov came out promptly when asked to provide an estimate. I was very pleased with the estimate – it was much lower than I expected for the difficulty of especially painting the railing around the front porch and deck. They were all very professional and responsive and all obviously took a great deal of pride in their work. They cleaned up from everything they did and were very pleasant and personable in all our interactions. I would definitely use them again and plan to in the spring with more painting. I just wish they did landscaping work and anything else I need done on my home! They are a terrific company and anxious to make their customers happy. What really impressed me is that they would not invoice me until weeks after they made the driveway look like it did before they got here. There was not one word of protestation that they caused the stains – which, in itself, is unusual. Give this company a chance to bid on any work you have and I would be happy to give anyone a reference for them.Description of work:
Power washed house, cleaned gutters, painted ceiling in den (had to match paint) from roof leak water marks, painted new double door from den to back deck, inside and outside, painted all shutters, window trim, columns, garage trim and door, fixed roof leak, stripped and painted all aluminum railing on large front porch and around large back deck, painted front and back doors, cleaned ivy from corners, painted 3 sets of stair risers, painted lattice trim in front, and painted vent shutters on house.

Prompt and easy estimate. On time for the work that was scheduled, and performed the work as estimated. Very professional. The repairs to the sill and fascia boards replaced wood with PVC. Exceeded my expectations. Painting was done well, with very little splash or paint transfer. Better job than I would have been able to do. Be detailed in what services you expect to receive, and the estimate will reflect that. They will do exactly what the estimate says, and do good work. I did not get specific on a couple items that I wished to be painted, and that was my fault. Overall, a very good experience and I would use them again.Description of work:
Replace rotted window sill, replace damaged fascia boards, exterior paint trim on house.

Excellent service and follow up. Job very professionally done and prices around same as other estimates. Only hiccup was that staff was very late coming to our house on scheduled day. However, their boss maintained excellent communication with us letting us know of delay and approximate arrival times.
